Sun Met 2019 Betting Tips
DO IT AGAIN (2.38)had a remarkable recent triumph over a mile in the Queen’s Plate and last season’s July victor has had the ideal preparation coming into this prestigious contest where he will love the step- up in distance on his peak showing. He has cracked a midfield draw and should take all the beating.
The five-year old HEAD HONCHO (13.00) was a revelation last year and he smashed some decent rivals that included dual subsequent Grade 1 winner EYES WIDE OPEN (boasts a Derby success over the top selection) , July runner-up MADE TO CONQUER and last season’s Guineas winner TAP O’ NOTH over nine furlongs in a Grade 2 event last month. He rises further in class today but is undoubtedly progressive and this race could be run to suit him.
RAINBOW BRIDGE (5.00) was given every chance when easily beaten by DO IT AGAIN in their recent clash but the high quality Ideal World gelding may still be progressive and could enjoy this test of stamina. That said, it does seem a tall order to reverse the form with the top rating but it must be noted that brilliant jockey Marcus has parted ways with eight time Grade 1 winner LEGAL EAGLE (15.00) in favour of the Eric Sands inmate who is incidentally the yard’s only runner on the day.
