Bet.co.za review

Bet.co.za are one of the orginal Bettech based bookies, and one of the few to actually make good use of the platform. They’ve been around for a number of years and we consider them to be well established in the South African betting community. You’ve likely come across their tv adverts or other forms of advertising over the years, in other words you’d have heard of Bet.co.za. They currently offer a 100% deposit match up to R500, with that out the way let’s see what they have to offer.

bonus

The Bet.co.za landing page is a fairly basic one with a solid colour scheme and nothing flashy or fancy. It looks pretty good and you shouldn’t have too much trouble navigating the site and more importantly the markets. One thing we were not too keen on was the placement of the promotions button. It’s in very small text at the top left of the page, we’d prefer it to be in a larger font, perhaps with the other headers.

We’ve given many other Bettech books a hard time in the past but we won’t do the same with Bet.co.za. They are one of the first successful Bettech books, most other books strive to be like Bet.co.za but fail. It’s a generous compliment but they’ve stuck with Bettech and made it work for them, so we have to give them credit for that. Let’s have a glance at some of their promotions.

Promotions :

Bet my Bru payout : Take a correct score bet on your EPL SuperBru prediction and if it wins, we’ll double your payout up to R1000.

Straight Set Bonus : Back a player on a match outright and if he/she wins in straight sets, we’ll boost your payout by 25% up to R1000.

Soccer Multi Special : Take a 6+ Soccer multiple and if you go one out, we will refund your stake.

Live Inplay Tennis Bonus : Take 5+ tennis in-running markets in one day and get a bonus equal to your average stake.

Strike Bowler Bonus : Back a player to be top bowler and if he takes a fifer we’ll double your payout with a free bet.

Bet.co.za

Bet.co.za has a fairly standard set of promotions, nothing to write home about but enough to keep you interested. They also do make event specific promotions which are nice when they do come around. We would like to see them expand their offering but at the moment it is reasonable.

Bet.co.za have fairly competitive odds, although that being said all Bettech bookies generally have their odds aligned. Bet.co.za do however seem to have a more extensive version of the software than some of their rivals and have a pretty solid inplay offering. We tested their customer service and found them prompt and helpful. They offer both live chat and a call in service but we’re not sure if they are available 24/7.

Sports Offered :

Golf, formula 1, soccer, tennis, cricket, baseball, rugby, basketball, live sports, lucky numbers, snooker, motor sports, ice hockey, horse racing, darts, boxing, Aussie rules, American sports and more.

Overall Experience.

Bet.co.za offer a pretty good experience, being well established they’ve ironed out all the issues other Bettech books have. Your betting experience at Bet.co.za might not be the most memorable one but it will be one you will turn to when looking for decent promo or some inplay action. We’d like to see them bump their initial 100% deposit match up to something higher than R500, which is surprisingly low considering their status as a premium book. Also we’d like to see some more exotic betting options like Esports etc, but that’s mostly to do with the Bettech software. Other than that Bet.co.za are a solid choice for new and seasoned punters.

What is the required wagering on the R500 deposit bonus? Don’t want a long wait or many bets.

Hi guys, nice review, nice to see them responding here also. Any idea if they have a android app coming? I cannot think of any betech bookies which have an app. Maybe it’s a betech issue holding it back?

Hi Jonathan

We’re aware of the issues for some mobile and tablet users and are currently working on a complete upgrade and revamp of our template to resolve these. We apologise for the inconvenience and are working on the issue to give a seamless experience for all users across all devices.

I’ve had bad experiences when logging on from my ipad (my weapon of choice when taking on the books)

For some reason the Bet site is not responsive and zooms in as well as panning to the 1 side of the screen.

So everytime I switch pages I have to zoom out and find my bearings. Real chore that.

Also when placing multiples on inplay markets sometimes you will sit for half an hour trying to put a bet through as the odds adjust on 1 leg or another. Nightmare stuff
