Vegas Bets Review

Vegas Bets are a South African bookmaker who seem to have flown under everyone’s radar! We stumbled across their site and decided it needed it’s very own Vegas Bets review! So let’s dive right into it.

Vegas Bets Review

Vegas Bets are running on the trusted Turfsport software and are fully licensed by the Western Cape gambling board. They seem to have launched in 2018 but we were unable to find any official information on the exact date of launch.

Vegas seem to have several brick and mortar stores in the Western Cape, which we found after looking through their about section. We were unable to find any social media presence which was odd but let’s have a closer look under the hood of the site itself.

The Site

The Vegas site is what one would expect from a standard Turfsport site. It’s essentially the same template used by other Turf bookmakers, but with Vegas Bets branding. The colour scheme has a very BetOlimp feel to it, one would almost be forgiven for thinking you’re on BetOlimp.

Other than that the site is perfectly functional and is easy to navigate and bet on. We’re slightly disappointed that they haven’t brought anything new to the party but hopefully they will add more features and options in the future.

Vegas Bets Sign on Bonus

Vegas currently offer a 100% deposit match up to R1000, with wagering attached of course. The R1000 on offer is pretty standard but we’re glad they’ve included it to attract new punters. We’ve listed the important terms of the match below.

  • The sign up bonus must be claimed within 30 days of sign up
  • To claim your welcome bonus, you need to email info@vegasbets.co.za with the subject: Welcome Bonus, and state your name and surname so that Vegas can credit your account with the signup bonus amount.
  • The client will have bet at least five times within a month.
  • The five bets placed must have a total stake equaling the total of the initial deposit and the bonus… ie If the deposit is R1000 and the bonus is R1000. The total stake of the 5 bets must be R2000
  • The five bets taken to qualify to get the bonus must have a betting odd of at least even money or more, and must be single bets. Multiples do not qualify.

Vegas Bets Registration

Registration is quick and easy, there’s only one form that needs to be filled out, and that shouldn’t take you more than a few minutes at most. There was no request for us to FICA the new account, so we assume that this will rather be requested on your first withdrawal.

Deposits and Banking

Currently you are only able to deposit with Ipay / Ozow and EFT at Vegas Bets. There are no card deposits accepted at this point, hopefully something that will be added soon.

Odds

The odds on offer are inline with other bookmakers using the same software. We compared several of their markets to GG Gaming and found Vegas to be slightly higher. Which is good news considering GG Gaming’s odds are quite competitive.

Promotions

Vegas Bets currently only have a 100% deposit match bonus promotion available. Hopefully weekly promotions and specials are in the pipeline as it’s an overlooked section of their site.

Betgames

Vegas Bets have a full offering of Betgames, including Lucky 5, 6, 7 and Lucky Wheel. A truly comprehensive Betgames offering which impressed us. More and more bookmakers are adopting Betgames and Lotto as secondary products and it’s fantastic to new a new bookmaker with such a good line up.

Lotto

As with Betgames, Vegas have a fully comprehensive Lotto offering.

Conclusion

It’s great to see a new bookmaker hit the market, especially one that caters for Betgames and Lotto players. However the lack of that X factor is evident, especially when one considers that they have no active promotions.

The 100% deposit match is great but in honestly its pretty standard in the industry these days. Other than the minor issues we mentioned there’s very little else to nitpick, Vegas Bets are worth signing up with for the bonus alone, and who knows, maybe there will be a few additions in the future!
