Track and Ball Gaming is owned by Tab Online Official, which is the biggest tote betting site in South Africa and also the crowd behind the popular Soccer 6 and Rugby 5 betting pools. They don’t have much in the way of a sign up bonus at the moment but let’s have a look under the hood of Track & Ball.
SITE LAYOUT & USER EXPERIENCE
Desktop: Boring. There is not a single image of a sportsperson on the entire site which makes the user experience very dull and clinical to say the least. We’d like to see a carousel banner put in which would bring the site some flavour and personality. The navigation is good with the sports markets logically positioned and easy enough to find on the left-hand side of the Home page.
Mobile: Just a simple to use as the desktop platform. We found the mobile site slightly more attractive as at least it has some adverts promoting upcoming sporting events to bring a little bit of colour and personality into the mix. (Still no promotions however!)
App: No mobile app available as of yet
OTHER USEFUL INFO
An uninspiring sports betting site, Track & Ball offers a decent range of sports markets but only really when compared to sites like Mobibets which are ridiculously limited. They offer most South African sports, including horse racing as well as baseball and basketball. There is nothing especially appealing about their offering which might entice punters to bet with them over any other bookmaker. Their odds are aligned with the land-based betting shops so they’re not very competitive in the online sports betting world either but it’s hard to fault them here as it’s pretty much expected. There have ZERO promotions on the site which we found to be a big negative. Unsurprisingly there are also no special features like cash out for punters to make use of which would make up for the lack of promotions.
We do like the fact that Track & Ball Gaming have a sports timeline on the right-hand side of the Home page which allows punters to see easily see upcoming matches, but again that’s nothing we haven’t seen before. They also offer a telephoning betting service between 10h00 and 19h00 but that’s also not worth shouting from the rooftops about.
CONCLUSION
On the whole, we found Track & Ball Gaming to be very unexciting and were disappointed with the experience. In such a competitive online sports betting market we expect much better from these guys if they want to entice new customers and pull others away from the land-based betting shops. Please post your comments below if you have any of your own experience using the site – good or bad!
