Landing Page
The Sunbet landing page is very unique and a great change from what it previously was. All the icons, buttons and menus are clear and large so there is little trouble navigating the site itself. We quite like the icon menu that sits on the top as it not only has descriptions but also a icon for Sports, Promotions and Lucky numbers (coming soon) etc.
The branding and colour scheme are great as they fit Sun Internationals branding perfectly. The main banner carousel is crisp and we expect to see some tasty offers there in the future.
One area the landing page struggles is that it feels a little crowded in the middle. There are lots of current events which populate this area and they are a little too large. We’d have preferred the markets / events to be a bit smaller as they have a strong contrast to the size of the side menu. A minor gripe but one never the less.

Sunbet Mobile
The Sunbet mobile site is where most punters will be placing bets and we have to say that the Sunbet mobile site is stunning. Everything is located where you’d expect it to be and the mobile site is fast and doesn’t use that much data.

Overall Experience
Sunbet have done a great job with their site and having used them for many years we’re glad to see that they’ve improved in leaps and bounds. There are a few styling issues that we may not like but that’s mostly personal preference. Sunbet has a solid, easy to use site that offers more than enough markets for new and experienced punters. The mobile site is fantastic, the markets comprehensive and there are more features than you think you need, making for a very positive experience.

Sunbet used to be brilliant but in recent times their deposit taking facility is SHOCKING. Four times already I have made a deposit with my credit card when the money is taken off my card but never reflects in my Sunbet wallet. Then you have to send an email and wait AGES for a reply.
Nobody has been able to explain why this is happening to me and as a result I don’t want to use Sunbet anymore. Any suggestions on the best alternative company? I’m sick of having to follow up after every deposit.
Hi Martin, that sounds incredibly frustrating. A deposit via card should reflect instantly and you shouldn’t have to follow up. It sounds like they are having issues with their card processing. Ouch! We’re limited to max bet of R200 at Sportingbet on Rugby Union. Limiting can be a funny beast, best suggestion is to open a few accounts at other bookmakers that have markets you like.
Sportingbet seems to limit a lot of people but Sun have generally been ok so a bit puzzled here.
In general it takes alot more to get limited at Sunbet than the other big books, which is a positive.

Yes, if you’re using Sunbet alot and gambling in a casino it most definitely is.
I find sunbet to be one of the more prestigious sites in ZA. They might not have the dazzle of sportingbet or the promotions of bet.co.za but they do have a good product. It’s responsive and reliable and their odds are competitive which is everything I look for. Also it’s run by a gambling group 🙂
