Egypt are in a fairly mediocre group with Russia, Uruguay and Saudi. Add Salah into the mix and we think they should bag more than 3.5 total group goals. They’re currently priced at 6/5 to score 4 goals or more and we will definitely be taking that as one of our best bets. Back Egypt to score 4 or more group goals at 6/5.

Iran find themselves in a very tough spot as they face the likes of Spain and Portugal, both of whom they will struggle to score against. They might grab a goal or two against Morroco but that’s if the usually frugal African side has a bad day. Iran total group goals under 2.5 at 15/20 looks a solid bet as we predict they’ll only bag one or possibly 2 goals in the group stage. Back Iran total group goals Under 2.5.

The Argentine’s aren’t the most prolific goal scorers especially in World Cups and knock out matches. However their group goal total is currently set at 4.5 with them facing the likes of Croatia, Iceland and Nigeria. None of which will be able to stop the South American juggernaut. Argentina will bag 5+ goals quite comfortably and we recommend backing them to score over 4.5 group goals at 7/10.

The Brazilians have a deceptively difficult group, they face 2 very defensive sides in Serbia and Switzerland while Costa Rica are no slouches either. Brazil’s total group goals line has been set at 6.5 goals which we find to be a goal too high. They’ll need to thump at least one of the sides in order to meet the line and we don’t see it happening. We’re backing Brazil total group goals under 6.5 at 7/10.

Colombia find themselves in a fairly easy group with the likes of Japan, Poland and Senegal. Their opposition is fairly weak and they should all be fighting for second spot behind Colombia. These sides will have to take an attacking approach to their games as this one could come down to goal difference. Colombia’s line is currently 4.5 goals and we see them picking up 4-5 goals in their matches against Japan and Senegal alone, leaving them to only bag a single goal against Poland for the overs to come in. The line is also attractively priced and 6/5 so we’ll be backing Colombia total group goals over 4.5 at 6/5.
