In this guide we are going to have a closer look at how to share your bets with your friends using the book a bet and code share feature on both Sportingbet and Betway.

What Are Bet Codes?

Bet codes are unique strings of numbers used to identify single bets or multibets on your online betting account. Betway and Sportingbet let you generate and use these codes to share your bets with friends or save betting selections to place later. Why Use Bet Codes?

There are many good reasons for sharing bet codes with your friends. Firstly, it makes betting more fun. You are also able to share your bets while using the Data Free site, and your friends are able to place bets using codes on the Betway Data Free app too.

There are two easy ways to generate and share your unique Betway Book a Bet code either to share with friends or to remember bets for later:

Option 1 – Share your bet code with friends

Log in to your Betway account.
Find the sport, league and match you want to bet on.
Make your selection/s by clicking the odds.
Go to your bet slip and select Multi Bet.
Enter your stake and click Bet Now.
You’ll get a ‘Bet Successful’ confirmation code. Share your bet code with friends via WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook or SMS.
Go to My Account, select Open Bets and click the green share arrow above any bet to share them whenever you like.

Option 2 – Share your booking code with friends without placing a bet

Log in to your Betway account.
Find the sport, league and match you want to bet on.
Make your selection/s by clicking the odds.
Go to your bet slip and select Multi Bet.
Click on Book. This will generate a booking code without placing the bet.
You now have the option to share your bet code with friends via WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook or SMS.
If you use this option, you must remember your booking code to access the bet again. Simply go to your bet slip, click Multibet enter the code where it says Booking Code.

How To Use A Booking Code To Find A Bet

To manually locate a shared bet (without a link) or to place a bet on selections you’ve saved using a booking code, follow these five steps:

Log in to your Betway account.
Go to your bet slip and select Multi Bet.
Type the booking code into the search bar and click the magnifying glass.
Your bet slip will automatically populate with bets associated with the booking code.
Add, remove or keep selections before placing your bet.

Betway Book-A-Bet Terms and Conditions

Book-a-Bet is only available for pre-match events.
A booking code can only be generated from the Multi Bet tab.
Bet slips generated through a booking code are subject to change. Users can add or remove selections on the bet slip.

Sportingbet Share My Bet

Sportingbet has a similar feature now available called Share My Bet which helps you share bets with friends via a clickable link on mobile. Share My Bet is also only available for pre-match sports and the default stake for shared bets is R5, which can be easily changed. How to share a bet with Sportingbet

Log in to your Sportingbet account.
Find the sport, league and match you want to bet on.
Make your selection/s by clicking the odds.
Go to your bet slip, enter your stake and click Place Bet.
On the Bet Confirmation screen, click Share My Bet alongside the arrow icon.
Click Confirm if you agree not to share your bet with anyone under 18 years of age.
Select the platform to share your bet, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter or SMS.
Your friend will receive a link to your bet. When they click, they will be asked to log in. Your bet will be visible in their bet slip.
