Betway have heard the call of South African punters to offer a data free sports betting alternative. They are now offering access to their site data free, meaning that you don’t have to spend any airtime or data when using Betway on data free mode.
Awesome! Customers using the new data free mode, or Betway datafree.co will be able to bet on prematch games, live sports and even eSports, all without using any data. Another handy feature of the new service is that you can now play the popular Four to Score prediction game data free too, and we’re going to have a quick look at how to make use of the new service. How to use Betway Data Free
In order to use the new service you simply need to have a Betway account, if you don’t already have one you can sign up for free, they are also offering a R25 free bet for new customers, plus many other great sports and casino promotions.
If you already have a Betway account and would like to check out data free then you will need to have a positive data balance, or a wifi / internet connection to access the Data free site. You can also access Betway data free using the Betway data free URL, which will take you directly to the site without using any of your data. You’ll immediately know once you’ve been switched to data free as there will be a yellow bar on the top of your screen saying that you are now using data free.
To return to the full Betway site simply tap the Return to full site button or click on one of the links that are conveniently placed through out the site.

As previously mentioned there is a growing number of betting options for those using the data free mode. All pre match sports betting markets and live matches, also know as in-play games, are available to punters. They’ve also handily included eSports, which has seen a remarkable rise in popularity.
Data Free Deposits
There are a few restrictions on the new service as only certain deposits may be made from the Data Free site, if a deposit method requires data, you will be prompted to accept this before leaving the data free site. The following deposits can be done on the data free site;

Other deposit methods will require access to the full site as many of them use third party services that do need data, Ozow for example redirects you to their payment portal, which uses data. We’re not sure on if punters will soon be able to use vouchers like 1voucher on Betway data free, but we’re sure the lads at Betway will offer it soon. (They have since added more deposit methods!)

There are a few terms and conditions that those using data free might need to be aware of, we covered the most important aspects above, but for those wanting to know more you can view the T&C’s on the Betway site or below;
- A valid Betway account is required to make use of the Data Free offering.
- The Data Free offering is only open to persons who are natural persons, 18 years or older, and either South African citizens or permanently reside in South Africa.
- The Data Free offering is only available on sport (pre-match and live), eSports (pre-match and live) and Four To Score predictions.
- Deposits may be made from the Data Free site, however Credit and Debit Card deposits as well as deposits through Ozow will redirect players to a site that requires data.
- Players will require a positive data balance to access the Data Free site from the Betway homepage.
- Players who access the Data Free site via the direct URL will not require a positive data balance.
