Euro 2020 Betting Tips for Today

After a years delay the Euro 2020 tournament is finally here, set to kick off on Friday 11 June 2021. The month long tournament promises some fantastic betting opportunities for soccer fans and punters, with over 51 fixtures to bet on. At Best Sports Betting we’ll be joining in on the betting action, and will be using this section to post our daily Euro 2020 betting tips.

For Euro 2020 we’ll be focusing on value bets as always, ones that we’ve researched and have the best chance of returning a profit. We’ll also be posting the occasional longshot or outsider bet if we think there is value, but generally we’ll be aiming to keep our bets at around 2.00, depending on how confident we are. We’ve also posted our Euro 2020 outright and golden boot picks for those looking for some exotics. We’ll also be using several South African betting sites for our tips, but you should be able to follow our bets at any betting site.

Our Euro 2020 Betting tips & Predictions for today

Italy v Wales – 20 June 2021 (won)

Italy are the hottest side in the tournament, having won their first 2 games 3-0 against fairly stiff opposition. They take on a Wales side that has also qualified for the next round and won’t be fighting desperately for a win. The game should be fairly open as neither side need to win, but it’s important to keep momentum going into the knockouts. We’ll be backing Italy to win to nil at 2.08 at Betway ,given the Italians stellar defensive record.

Past Euro 2020 Bets and betting tip results

Turkey v Italy – 11 June 2021 (Bet Won)

The tournament opener sees Group A’s Turkey take on a very strong Italian side in Rome. The Italians are 1.57 to win the match, and should have no trouble easing past Turkey. Roberto Mancini’s men have only conceded 3 goals in their last 15 matches, while Turkey have been very inconsistent in front of goal, against much weaker opposition, and with that in mind our Euro 2020 betting tip for today is Italy to keep a clean sheet at 1.80, or Italy to win to nil at 2.25 at Sportingbet.

Wales v Switzerland – 12 June 2021 (Bet Lost)

Switzerland are in top form, having won their last 6 games in a row, heading into their first match at Euro 2020. Wales will be heavily reliant on Gareth Bale for goals, and to help carry a rather average Welsh side, who recently failed to beat Albania and were thrashed 3-0 by France. There shouldn’t be too many goals in what should be a comfortable win for the Swiss in Baku. Back Switzerland to win at 2.15

England v Croatia – 13 June 2021 (Bet Won)

England take on 2018 World Cup Finalist’s Croatia in London, in a repeat of the World Cup Semi Final that saw the English lose 2-1 after extra time. The Croatian squad has aged significantly since that win and while dangerous are no longer the team they were 3 years ago. England however are looking in good form going into their opener, having only conceded 1 goal in their last 5 matches. It’s hard to look past a close England win here, and they should be able to keep a clean sheet. England to win and under 2.5 goals at 3.30 is a great bet for those looking for some value, for the more cautious England to win at 1.70 is a solid bet.

Spain v Sweden – 14 June 2021 (Bet Lost)

Spain have looked in top form heading into the Euro 2020 tournament and are strongly favoured to ease past a somewhat underwhelming Swedish side. The Swedes have coped well against weaker opposition but have struggled against the likes of France, Denmark and Croatia in the past. It’s hard to look past a win for Spain so our best bet is Spain to win and under 3.5 goals at 1.90, don’t be surprised if the Swedes do manage to put at least one goal past the Spanish!

France v Germany – 15 June 2021 (Win / Loss)

World Champions France take on an underwhelming German side at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The French have been in solid form and should have enough quality to get past a German side whose only real advantage in this match is that they are playing at home. Both sides have been scoring freely too, so there should also be goals in this one. Our best bet is France at 2.50 to win or both teams to score at 1.80 in a match France should easily win. Check out our full France v Germany Euro 2020 Betting Preview for more on this clash.

Finland v Russia – 16 June 2021 (Bet Won)

Finland picked up a surprise 1-0 win against Denmark in a game that really should have been called off after Christian Eriksen went down, shocking both side, but especially the Danes. They next take on a solid Russian side that is not going to be suffering from the same morale issues that plagued Denmark, even though they went down 3-0 to Belgium. Russia should win this game easily and the 1.65 on a Russian win is good enough for us to get involved.

Ukraine v North Macedonia – 17 June 2021 (Bet Won)

The Ukraine put in a spirited performance in their entertaining 3-2 loss to the Netherlands in their opening fixtures. While North Macedonia did surprise with a goal against Austria in their 3-1 loss. Ukraine is going to be far too strong for North Macedonia and it could get ugly for the minnows. The 1.70 odds on Ukraine to win are a good bet, our best bet in fact, but for those looking for extra value we’ll be backing Ukraine -1 at 2.70, which means they’ll need to win the game by 2 clear goals, which they should do quite comfortably. Back Ukraine to win at 1.70.

England v Scotland – 18 June 2021 (Loss)

England take on traditional rivals Scotland in a match that should be a comfortable win for England. The Scots struggled against an average Czech side, losing 2-0 in their opening match. England on the other hand looked cool and collected despite facing a tough Croatian midfield. We’ll be backing England to win and keep a clean sheet at 1.80.

Hungary v France – 19 June 2021

France got their campaign off to a perfect start against a tough German side, a game in which they really should have scored more goals. France looked very dangerous and Hungary are in the fight of their lives in Budapest. France should pick up an easy win and more than a few goals in this one, so we’ll be backing France to win and over 2.5 goals at 1.94 at Betway.
