Pure Bet Review

Pure Bet are an up and coming online South African sports betting and casino site, launched in 2021, and now available to SA punters. The Pure Bet site is powered by the popular BetConstruct software, who are also responsible for Gbets, and are licensed by the Western Cape Gaming Board. In this Pure Bet review we are going to take a closer look at their sports and casino offering, including their sign on bonus offer, banking options and more, let’s get into it.

The Pure Bet site

The Pure Bet site uses a colour palate that you don’t really come across in SA, there is a lot of pink worked into the site, which is due to their support of various charity groups that focus on helping abused women and children through the Pure Giving charity.

Navigation on desktop is a breeze with all the sports, live games, account buttons and more accessible from any section of the site. Punters should have no trouble finding a sport or game to bet on. There’s also a handy calendar feature that shows upcoming matches, which can be overwhelming but it’s a great source of information for dedicated players.

Pure Bet Mobile

The Pure Bet mobile site is where most punters will be spending their time, and we found the mobile site to be very responsive. There is a strong emphasis on live casino games, which we’ll get into later, but the sports are also easy to find and navigate from the homepage, or any other section of the mobile site.

What we really liked were the slick and easy to access side menu that pulls out to display all the sports, esports and virtual sports on offer. The mobile site is solid otherwise, and punters should have no trouble placing or making deposits and withdrawals. Other than that there is unfortunately no data free site or Pure Bet App at this stage, but we’re sure we’ll see one further down the line.

Pure Bet Welcome Bonus

Pure bet offer 2 different welcome offers or bonuses to new customers, the first is a R25 free bet that requires a minimum deposit of R10 to activate, while the second is a 100% deposit match bonus up to R1000 on your first deposit.

R25 Free Bet Welcome Offer

The R25 free bet welcome bonus is more of an introductory offer for new punters wanting to test out the Pure Bet site and platform. To claim the offer simply open a new account, make a qualifying deposit of R10 and claim the R25 free bet from the gift box in the header section of the site.

You will need to wager the bonus on a single sports bet at least 1x within 7 days of claiming it, and the maximum win from the free bet is R25.

Kindly note the R25 free bet offer is no longer available.

Pure Bet 100% first deposit match offer

The 100% first deposit match up to R3000 is similar to what you’d find at other bookies. To activate or claim the offer you need to have a new account and make a minimum deposit of R10 or more. You can then claim the bonus from the gift box section of your account.

You must use the first deposit bonus within 30 days of registration, and you will need to wager your deposit and bonus 3x at odds of 1.9 or greater before you can withdraw. The bonus is also equal to the amount of your first deposit. For example a R500 deposit would get you a R500 bonus.

Sports betting on offer

Pure Bet have a excellent and competitive sports betting betting product, thanks to the brilliant Betconstruct software used. All major sports like Soccer, Rugby, Cricket and Tennis are covered, with dozens of smaller more exotic sports also on offer. The only notable exclusion from the offering is horse racing, which is unfortunate, but a growing number of SA bookies no longer offer horses so it’s understandable that Pure Bet don’t have it.

The general odds on offer for pre match and in play matches are fairly standard, not as good as Sportingbet or Sunbet, but are similar to what you’d find on Betway and Hollywoodbets. Obviously this does vary between sports but generally speaking the odds are respectable. However the amount of betting markets on offer is very impressive, with close to 400 individual bets available for a Premium League match.

Pure Bet Casino Games

Pure Bet find themselves in a unique position regarding casino games, they have all the best games like Crazy Time, Gonzo’s treasure hunt, Lightning Roulette etc, from the popular providers Evolution and Ezugi, plus they also have games on offer from Betconstruct. We do recommend going into each individual game lobby first to see the selection of games, as the current layout doesn’t list all of them.

The Betconstruct games have a good variety of classic games like roulette, blackjack, baccarat and more, giving Pure Bet punters a wider range of choice when it comes to casino games. However we’re quietly confident that the hugely popular Crazy Time by Evolution will be the most popular game on the platform!

Looking past the live casino games there is also a full selection of Betgames, Jika Sports and virtual sports on offer. Including the popular Lucky 7, Lucky Wheel, Jika Soccer and more. The virtuals sports are a particular highlight, as they include some interesting games like Marble run, Penalty kicks and Drag racing, which you won’t find at many other bookies.

Pure Bet banking options

Pure Bet have a wide selection of deposit and withdrawal methods that is sure to suit a variety of punters, in fact you don’t even need a bank account to make deposits and withdrawals!

Deposit methods

Currently you can make deposits using your credit card, Ozow instant EFT and for those who use vouchers to top up there is 1ForYou, Blu Voucher, OTT and Celbux on offer. A very comprehensive offering that will appeal to a wide variety of players.

Withdrawal

Pure Bet offer a few different options when it comes to getting your cash, including Peach Payments (EFT), Celbux and OTT. The minimum withdrawal amount is R50 across all three.

The overall Pure Bet experience

Pure Bet is a solid addition to the South African sports and casino betting market, the site is easy to use on mobile, and is unique thanks to the Betconstruct software and it’s design. We had no issues opening an account, making our first deposit and getting a bet on, but that’s what you’d expect as standard from a bookmaker these days.

One of the biggest drawbacks were the lack of promotions on offer outside of the welcome offer, which we’re sure will change as Pure Bet grows and matures. Another negative was the lack of horse racing and a dedicated betting app, but that is something that many punters can look past. There’s lots to like about Pure Bet, and not too much to complain about, so at the end of the day we’re happy to recommend them to punters who are looking for another betting account, or getting into betting or casino games for the first time.
