They’ve certainly got the talent but their poor finishing is forcing them higher and higher up the pitch which leaves them vulnerable to counters. They should have no problem easing past Korea though, a side who are pointless this World Cup.

South Korea will be looking to make a game out of this match knowing that they are all but knocked out. They are organised but their lack of talent has been exposed in this group and it might be a case of damage control against the Germans. They were bossed by both Mexico and Sweden, even if the scorelines suggest otherwise. We’re not entirely convinced that Germany have turned a corner with their win against Sweden. It was a game they perhaps did not deserve to win but did thanks to a stunner from Kroos. They will be looking to make amends and head into the Round of 16 with a big win. They’ll need to start Mario Gomes though, as his impact against Sweden was big and gave them the presence in the box they were missing. Germany tend to start and end their matches in a strong fashion and we expect them to find the back of the net early against Korea.
