The 2018/19 UEFA Champions League kicks off on the 18th September 2018. We’re going to give you our best Champions League Betting Tips for matches where we see value. We won’t be tipping every single match, only those where we think our bets will have a higher chance of winning.
Champions League Betting Tips
Barcelona v Manchester United
Barcelona will be happy with their away goal after last week’s match, additionally the fact that the Spanish side have won 7 of their last 10 matches at home makes it hard to see how United will win this. Back Barcelona to Beat Manchester United by 2 goals or more at 9/10.
Juventus v Ajax
The first leg was a tight 1-1 draw with Juventus missing several chances to win the match. It should be a much easier task for for the Italian side in Turin, where they they have won an incredible 13 of their last 15 games. We’re backing Juventus to win at 7/10.
Manchester United v Young Boys
Manchester United might be having a troublesome season in the Premier League but they have been much more impressive in the Champions League. The hosts have won their last 4 games against bottom of the log sides and should have no trouble easing past Young Boys. There is no value in taking United for the straight win so we’re going to back the match to have under 3.5 goals. A result that would have won in 4 of United’s last 5 matches. Back under 3.5 goals at a shade over 3/5.
Champions League Betting Tips – Round 4
Napoli v PSG Betting Tips
This is the return leg of a very important fixture for both sides. The last match saw Napoli upset the apple cart by pulling of an impressive 2-2 draw in Paris. If either side loses this game it will be a major dent to their qualification hopes. We see PSG as the stronger side and they should be able to pull off a result in Italy. A draw is the likely outcome but we’re going to be backing PSG Draw No Bet at 3/4.
Manchester City v Shakhtar Donesk
Manchester City turned on the afterburners in their 6-1 win over Southampton on the weekend. City look unstoppable and they’ll be confident at home, having cruised past Donesk 3-0 away from home. They’ve been tight at the back when playing at home too, winning 3 of their last 4 goals without conceding in the Premier League. We’re going to back City to continue being solid at the back, our bet is City to keep a clean sheet at 3/5.
Champions League Betting Tips – Round 3
PSG v Napoli Betting Tips
PSG have been in dominant form this season, especially at home. The French giants have won all of their home games, scoring 3 goals or more in their last 9 home matches. They face a solid Napoli side who has had mixed form on the road, winning only 5 of their last 10 matches away.
Napoli’s trouble has been against quality teams on the road, they lost 3-1 to Juventus and 5-0 to Liverpool. PSG should have no trouble putting a few past the Italians and picking up the win. We’re backing PSG to win and over 2.5 goals at 17/20.
PSV v Tottenham Hotspurs Betting Tips
Spurs have been grinding out results this season and haven’t been overly impressive domestically. They do have a quality side that should be doing much better. They picked up a good 1-0 win away to West Ham over the weekend and this side serve them well heading into their match against PSV.
Both sides know a draw would almost certainly eliminate them from the group stage so we see Spurs going all out to win this one, so that they can try keep in touch with Inter and Barcelona. We’re backing Spurs to win at 19/20.
Champions League Betting Tips – Round 2
Manchester United v Valencia Betting Tips – 1 October 2018
Manchester United are under a huge amount of pressure to get their season back on track. United have failed to win their last 3 domestic matches against very inferior opposition and Mourinho will surely be sweating. However United should be able to put their domestic troubles behind them when facing a Valencia side that has never beaten United. We’re backing the Red Devils to win at home at 7/10.
Both sides come into the match with impressive win streaks in both their domestic and UEFA qualifiers. Barca have won their last 6, and have won 3 of their home matches by at least 3 goals. PSV have also been impressive, having won all of their away games, scoring at least 2 goals in those wins.
It’s going to be an open slugfest but Barcelona arguably have the stronger side and the home advantage. PSV won’t roll over however and we expect them to find the back of the net at some point during the match. With their impressive away record and Barca’s equally impressive home record we are going to be backing both teams to score at 11/10.
Liverpool v PSG Betting Tips – 18 September 2018
Liverpool won’t be too happy being in a group with PSG and Napoli, who are both capable of putting them to the sword if they find themselves in the mood. However PSG will be Liverpool’s biggest challengers in this group and both sides will want to top the log. They’ve both gotten off to impressive starts in their domestic leagues, having not dropped a single point at home or away.
Liverpool matches in the Champion’s League have been very exciting, with their last 3 games having 4 goals or more and 4 of their last 6 group stage games having the same record last season. Liverpool will come out guns blazing and it’ll be up to PSG to weather the early storm and fight for a result. We like Liverpool to bag the first goal in this clash at 3/4, Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 23/10 also appeals but our bigger bet is for the Red’s to bag the first goal.
