Millionaires Gaming Sports Betting, also known as MG Sports Betting, is officially shutting down its online operation in South Africa. The company announced the closure in a post on the official MG site. MG Sports Betting has been in operation for under 2 years, and it’s sad to see them leave the industry. If you have any funds in your wallet or account then we suggest you withdraw these immediately, as you don’t want to be caught up in having to chase your funds down once the MG Sports Betting site goes offline and it’s too late. At the time of writing the Twitter and Facebook pages were also both unavailable.
It’s unclear what is happening with pending bets, so we recommend getting in touch with their support at (021) 879 3900 to get assistance, as we’re not sure how much longer the site will still be online. They will also not be accepting any new bets during the period in which they close down, although we did manage to place one, we don’t recommend that you do unless you are willing to risk losing your money.
MG Sports have reached out to us with the following on how they are assisting players;
- Our servicing is assisting our punters with withdrawals.
- We have put measures in place with our platform provider to disable registrations and betting.
- Minimum withdrawal amounts have been adjusted to R1 to allow all our punters to withdraw their funds.
- We are keeping the login and withdrawal functionalities available until business is properly resolved
