How to play Betway Beat The Odds

Every bet you place from the Betway Beat the Odds page will either earn or lose you points on the overall leaderboard. Top the leaderboard at the end of the season, and you’ll stand out as our grand prize winner of R1 million in cash. There are also a range of weekly Free Bet and cash prizes to be won. All you need to enter is a valid Betway account, and you can click here to sign up with Betway if you don’t yet have an account and want to take part in the promotion. You can also earn extra points by placing a bet on your Beat the Odds predictions.

How it works

Each week Betway select 5 fixtures chosen from the biggest football leagues in the world. All you need to do is predict the outcome of any – or all – of the 5 games.

Once you’ve made your Match Result (1X2) predictions, your total odds will be tallied and banked as potential points for the leaderboard. If you choose to add your predictions to your betslip and place a bet, your potential points will be doubled.

If your predictions are correct, the total odds of your selections will be added to your overall points tally on the leaderboard – double if you chose to bet on your selections.

If any of your predictions are incorrect, the total odds of your selections will be deducted from your overall points tally on the leaderboard. If you chose to bet on your selections, your total odds will be halved and deducted from your overall tally on the leaderboard.

Betway Beat the Odds Terms and Conditions

1. The Betway Beat the Odds (also referred to as “The Promotion”) is open to all new and existing Betway customers.
2. The Promotion will run from 01 August, 2022. All bets placed outside of the promotion dates, will not qualify.
3. In order to qualify for the promotion customers must make Match Result (1X2) predictions on pre-selected fixtures each week.
4. The Beat the Odds promotion is a leaderboard promotion in which customers can earn points by predicting and betting on pre-selected outcomes.
5. Customers must include at least one pre-selected match in their prediction and do not need to include all pre-selected games in order to qualify. Selections must be made on the chosen games and may not be altered in any way.
6. Each selection will contribute towards a total point tally on the Beat the Odds leaderboard. All predictions must be correct in order to contribute to the tally on the leaderboard. Losing predictions will result in points being deducted from the tally on the leaderboard.
7. Customers may choose to only make predictions, or may choose to make predictions and bet on the chosen outcomes. Placing a bet on the outcomes will result in a double-point reward (if the bet wins) and a half-point deduction if the bet loses. Points are allocated as follows:

8. Bets may be of any amount, but must be cash bets placed before the first match of the selection kicks off.
9. Only the first bet placed on the chosen fixtures count towards the promotion.

Prize terms and conditions

1. The total prize pool for the Betway Beat the Odds promotion will be split between cash, Free Bets, tech and lifestyle prizes.
2. Throughout the promotion, there will be a number of spot prizes awarded at random to qualifying players. The prizes include cash, and Free Bets.

• Winners will be notified by Betway. In the event that the chosen winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours, a new winner will be selected.
• The draws will not be streamed live.
• Winners will be chosen at the end of each week.

3. At the end of the promotion, the player with the most points on the Beat the Odds leaderboard will win the grand prize of R1 million in cash. The winner will be notified directly by Betway.
4. In the event that two winners end on the same number of points, the prize will be divided equally among all winners.
5. Should three or more players end on the same number of points, all qualifying winners will enter a lucky draw where one player will be randomly chosen to win the grand prize.

Point scoring terms and conditions

1. Leaderboard points will be awarded based on the odds on predictions made and bets placed on pre-selected fixtures each week.
2. Points will be calculated and awarded as follows:

• Potential points are calculated based on the total number of odds in the predictions/on the betslip.
• Players who add their predictions to the betslip and place a bet will have their potential points doubled.
• If all of the predictions made are correct and/or the bet placed wins, the points will be added to the overall points tally on the leaderboard.
• If any of the predictions made are incorrect and/or the bet placed loses, the potential points will be deducted from the overall points tally. Players who placed a bet will have their potential points halved before the deduction is made.
• Overall points on the leaderboard will never decrease below zero (0), and players cannot go into negative points.

General Terms and conditions

1. A valid Betway account is required to participate in the promotion.
2. The promotion is only open to persons who are natural persons, 18 years or older, and either South African citizens or permanently reside in South Africa.
3. Betway may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement to enable Betway to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Should the winner be found not to have complied with these Terms and Conditions, he/she will automatically be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited.
4. The prize is not transferable, and no substitution is permitted. The prize will not be handed/awarded to a third party, but only to the verified prize winner.
5. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. The winner’s image may be used for promotional purposes.
7. The Promoters will continuously monitor any irregular behaviour, whether it be in entries and/or Participant’s details. Consequently, any violation or attempt and/or suspicion of violation or irregular behaviour and/or non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions will result in immediate disqualification of the Participant.
8. The Participant acknowledges that he/she has been given an appropriate opportunity to first read these Terms and Conditions and that he/she understands and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
9. Betway reserves the right to change, amend, edit, postpone or cancel the promotion, prizes, rules, and terms and conditions at any time and without notice.
10. All Participants participate entirely at their own risk. By reading these Terms and Conditions and participating in the promotion, the Participant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoters, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries, and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the Promotion and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries or losses are sustained as a result of gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any of the Promoters.
11. The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any Reward nor in respect of any warranties or undertakings given by any person other than the Promoters themselves.
